【Visiting Yamashiro’s public bathhouses】
Yamashiro has two public bathhouses: So-yu and Ko-so-yu. Sou-yu is equipped with a new heat exchange system, and its hot-spring water comes directly from the source, without the addition of non-spring water. Ko-so-yu is a restored public bathhouse constructed in the Meiji Period. In addition to its traditional exterior and interior designs, the bathhouse has preserved the traditional way of bathing called “yuami”.
